Despite the pandemic we continued to focus on our new build programme, where safe to do so, to ensure we could welcome new residents across a range of tenures.

We call empty properties “voids”, and we prepared this year’s voids as best we could, for new residents, whilst taking into account social distancing requirements.

In 2020-21 127 new properties were built

The number of new builds delivered was impacted by the lockdown at the end of the last financial year, however as soon as restrictions were lifted we were able to reopen these sites and deliver much needed homes for local residents. As the Government found ways to enable onsite working we could re-open and start new developments when safe to do so.
